Focusing on fields of Research, Development and Innovation is always the goal for UMEC to strive for, more; UMEC has been actively training and educating its employees in order to guarantee first-class products for customers. At the moment, there are hundreds of R&D engineers and 30% indirect employees at UMEC, and more than 4% revenues provided for R&D budget. In 2005, 2006, the budget was increased to 6.12% revenues. Moreover, UMEC has gained rich experiences and advanced technology in products exploration through not only joint-research with domestic and oversea institutions, but also collaboration with worldwide well-known companies.
UMEC is able to provide efficient procurement and competitive pricing to our customers by leveraging the advantages of mass production which can reduce production costs. In terms of competitors, it is extremely hard to challenge the advantages that UMEC has created such as, competitive pricing, superior quality and on-time delivery, certainly, they may able to do the same thing, yet we believe UMEC can do better since we have established superior enterprise culture and fully-integrated management system.
UMEC has concentrated on the tendency toward newest marketplace in order to design latest IC solution into our new products for occupying a place in industrial area ahead of competitors; the meaning is like our Transformer Products are assigned components by international well-known companies, for example, Alcatel-Lucent, GlobespanVirata, TI, Conexant, Infineon and so on. This is how we accomplish our achievements in this competitive marketplace.
